Tata BSE Multicap Consumption 50:30:20 Index Fund endeavours to replicate BSE Multicap Consumption 50:30:20 Index that aims to track the performance of stocks representing the Consumption theme. Top 100 stocks based on Average 6-month Total Market Capitalisation from a universe of stocks belonging to the MEI Sectors ‘Consumer Durables’ or ‘Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)’ are included in the index. Index constituents are weighted based on their float-adjusted market capitalization.

Portfolio Positioning and construction
Top 100 stocks based on Average 6-month Total Market Capitalisation from a universe of stocks belonging to the MEI Sectors ‘Consumer Durables’ or ‘Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)’ are included in the index.
- Index constituents are weighted based on their float-adjusted market capitalization.
- Index constituents are weighted based on their float-adjusted market capitalization.
- Stocks in the index are classified into either Large, Mid or Small group based on whether the stock belongs to BSE 100 Large Cap TMC Index, BSE 150 Mid Cap Index or BSE 250 SmallCap Index. Stocks are capped based on their market cap Large (50%), Mid (30%), and Small (20%).
- Reviewed Quarterly (March, June, September, December)
- Reconstituted Semi-annually
- The top 80 stocks automatically stay in the index.
- Stocks ranked 81 to 120 are retained in order of highest rank until the target constituent count of 100 is reached.
