The Tata Select Equity Fund is an open ended equity fund which invests with a top down approach in a select few sectors, pre-dominantly from old economy. The investment approach is to track companies & sectors which look fundamentally good over a medium term horizon and remain invested till valuations look stretched. It does not invest in sectors like Liquor, Tobacco, Consumer Goods, Finance and Banking and in Interest Bearing Securities.
